TAIP Grant Award - 2009-2010

I am pleased to tell you funding has been approved by the TAIP award committee for the development of a video short based on 'Part One' of my new book She Who Was Taken.

My book is inspired by actual events. Names, places and Tribial affiliation have been altered to protect the innocent, the guilty know who they are.

This story is one of success, over coming great odds to have a good life, the impact of the assimilation efforts by U.S. and Canadian policies.

Once the video short is completed, you will be able to view 'Part One' online!

We Hold the Future II

As women we are the ones who carry the future that will walk the earth. This rich painting illustrates how the outcome in the future is based on the journey a child takes within a mother and then beside her on this turtle island.

This acrylic painting on heavy French watercolor paper is approximately 29.5"x22".

Enjoy!

LEGEND OF SNOQUALMIE FALLS, new for 2008!

This beautiful art piece was completed during the 2007 Winter Solstice. A two year undertaking, this small section of a great Legend is presented here.

Two sisters were on the prairie collecting camas roots, a plea was sent to creator wishing for husbands and the star men agreed.

After living in the stars, one sister returned back to earth and gave birth to a special child.

This special little boy became the moon.

BETTY LOU'S FARM Shawl

A new shawl titled "Betty Lou's Farm".

This commissioned work was inspired by my long-time friend Betty Lou and her beautiful/peaceful farm in Wisconsin.

The piece is constructed of 100% soft wool in pumpkin and ocean blue, the decorative bands are of iridescent silk, the bucks are of wool and the falling leaves are of high-end poly suede with crystals on the dragonflies and eyes.

Fringes are all hand cut and knotted one at a time.

Enjoy this lovely work of art. For more information on how to order a shawl, see our website for details.
